Please join us afterwards for a post screening conversation with Karina Aveyard from the University of East Anglia. Karina is an Associate Professor at the University of East Anglia in Film and Media. Her academic research and publications have a focus on community and rural cinema exhibition with an emphasis on the social and cultural significance of collective film viewing practices. Prior to completing her PhD in 2012 Karina worked in various roles in the film industry in Australia including in development and production for Columbia TriStar and the Film Finance Corporation, and in research and policy for the Australian Film Commission and NSW Film and Television Office.
